Statistical Analysis of Track Geometry Parameters on Tramway Line No. 1 in Budapest

The article examines the superstructures of tramway tracks line No. 1 in Budapest (the capital Hungary). Since first appearance tramways, several technological advancements have been made to serve passenger needs as efficiently possible. Several types track superstructure systems can be differentiated, which are implemented differently each project. Furthermore, these different degradation times (both geometrical and structural), depend on factors. Nowadays, visual inspections no longer considered sufficient monitoring tracks’ condition deterioration, thus it is necessary consider examinations carried out using sensors mounted vehicles. Adopting appropriate methods, measured data modeled life cycle structural elements determined a result sufficiently long-term studies (i.e., costs, whole lifetime, etc.). First, authors present review relevant international literature, after that they conduct analysis geometry parameters related five sections investigated based results measurements performed for three consecutive years between 2019 2021. analyses consist primarily statistical examination calculated parameters.
